Are you a Lukewarm Christian?

This blog post is focused on streamers but can apply to anyone in any other job or role.

Sharing the Gospel is the power of God for salvation to everyone.

How can streamers who call themselves Christian withhold the gospel from their audience and followers? Do they so dislike them that they would not share the very thing that saves lives? Are they so selfish in wanting to hold it all to themselves and not share with the whole world? Didn't Jesus call us to share in the great commission?

And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20

Too many streamers seek only the accolades and rewards from earthly, finite fellow humans rather than from our infinite, loving God. Focused more on getting clicks, follows, and subs than sharing the gospel that save lives. Streamers get so concerned with not offending that they offend anyways and become lukewarm and timid. Streamers can pray without ceasing.

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

IT IS NOT HARD! It is so easy to do. Praying without ceasing is something we all can do each stream.

"Paul is not referring to non-stop talking, but rather an attitude of God-consciousness and God-surrender that we carry with us all the time. Every waking moment is to be lived in an awareness that God is with us and that He is actively involved and engaged in our thoughts and actions." BereansAflame

Do not become lukewarm and not share the gospel that saves lives. God was very clear that it is better to be hot or cold rather than being lukewarm.

“‘I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold or hot! So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth. For you say, I am rich, I have prospered, and I need nothing, not realizing that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked. Revelation 3:15-17

I get it. Don't think I am naïve or blind to what happens in the streamer culture. Streamers water down their message to get more viewers so they can invite them to their community where the gospel is presented and shared. And having the clicks, follows and subs provide funds to share more and do more. And I have seen and heard of lives being saved through this model. So it must be working and I am totally wrong!

My fear is at what price?

For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul? Matthew 16:26

What price are we willing to pay?

Start every day brewing

over the Word of God

Morning Brew is a Christian living blog and community that encourages followers of Jesus to start every morning brewing over the Word of God, rejoicing in the Lord, learning more about who He is, and thanking Him for His salvation, provisions and blessings. We are here to grow in our faith and relationship with God every day.

Through our Bible study and Christian living blog, Christian gaming community, women's Bible study and fellowship group, reading plans, and other groups and offerings we strive to build one another up as the body of Christ and edify one another by sharing in what God teaches and reveals to each of us on our faith journeys.

Our Bible study blog covers a multitude of topics relevant to Christian living and practical Biblical application. We focus on deep topical studies, Bible book overviews and  Bible translation studies in our God's Word category. Godly Living is all about living life as a believer in Christ and features categories for everyday Christian living, hobbies, food, and Christian homemaking. Within Godly Abiding we dive into Biblical application within a Godly family, self care, prayer and living an orderly life.

Our gaming community, which includes our Christian ESO guild and Christian Minecraft Realm, as well as our Christian women's group, the Vineyard, and all other events and offerings are designed to foster meaningful Christian to Christian fellowship. Our mission is to grow in faith and learn how to become better examples of Christ together in all areas of our lives.
